Travis Michael Kelce, who also goes by the nicknames Zeus and Wet Hot American Kelce, was born on October 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio. He currently plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL).
Kelce showcased his football skills at the University of Cincinnati, where he prepared for a future career in professional football.
In the 2013 NFL Draft, Kelce was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round. Since then, he has become a pivotal player for the team, contributing significantly to their Super Bowl victories in LIV and LVII, and scoring a touchdown reception in each of those wins.
Throughout his career, Kelce has earned Pro Bowl honors eight times and has been selected as a first-team All-Pro on four occasions. He holds an NFL record for the most consecutive seasons and overall seasons with 1,000 yards receiving by a tight end, with a total of seven. In 2020, he set another record by amassing the most receiving yards in a single season for a tight end with 1,416, despite only playing in 15 games.
As of Week 5 in 2023, Kelce has recorded an impressive 841 receptions, covering a total of 10,566 yards and boasting 72 touchdowns. During the 2022 season, he achieved the distinction of becoming the fastest tight end to reach 10,000 career receiving yards, making him just the fifth tight end in NFL history to accomplish this feat.
Off the football field, Kelce has made appearances on various television shows, both reality and scripted, as well as in advertisements. He is also the co-host of the podcast “New Heights” with his brother Jason, where they engage in discussions covering a wide range of topics, from football to popular culture.
