Resetting AirPods is super easy and it just takes 5 minutes. You don’t need to install any app or software or connect the AirPods to your Mac or PC. Here is how to reset AirPods:
1. Put both AirPods in their charging case and close the lid. Make sure you keep the AirPods into the case for at least 15-20 seconds.
2. Now take your iPhone and go to Settings > Bluetooth.
3. Under ‘My Devices’, you will see all the devices that you have connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth. Find your AirPods name in this list and tap on ‘i’ icon.
4. On this screen, you will see all the info about your AirPods. Below the info section, there is an option named ‘Forget Device’. Tap on it and confirm.
5. Now take your AirPods or AirPods Pro and press & hold the button at the back of the case for at least 15-20 seconds until it starts showing a White light on the case.
6. Once you have done that, open the cap of the charging case and connect your AirPods again to your iPhone. You will see ‘not your AirPods’ which means AirPods are reset to factory settings and no more recognize your iPhone.
